FFA(federal aviation administration)

 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is an agency of the United States Department of Transportation (DOT) that is responsible for the regulation and oversight of civil aviation in the country. The FAA's mission is to provide the safest, most efficient aerospace system in the world.


The FAA's responsibilities include the certification of aircraft and pilots, the establishment of air traffic control procedures, and the regulation of airspace. The agency also sets safety standards for aircraft maintenance and inspection, and it investigates aviation accidents and incidents.


The FAA's primary role is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of aircraft in the national airspace system (NAS). To accomplish this, the agency establishes and enforces regulations for the operation of aircraft, and it provides guidance and assistance to pilots, aircraft manufacturers, and other organizations involved in aviation.



The FAA also plays a key role in the development and implementation of new technology for the aerospace industry. The FAA is headed by an Administrator, who is appointed by the President of the United States with the advice and consent of the Senate. The current Administrator is Michael Huerta. The agency is headquartered in Washington, D.C., and it has regional and field offices located throughout the country.
